)Individual (1-99) Featuring in the exhibition Immigration: A Conversation at Two Rivers Gallery in Prince George, Aug - Oct 2022, as an installation of digital prints. This series of portraits, features stones, small enough to hold in your hand found around the perimeter of Slocan Lake, BC. Designed as an installation that responds to the space it inhabits, accommodating as many as the space can hold. A meditation on individuality and numbers. The Slocan Valley region is mineral rich, and the traces of old mines from earlier immigrants are everywhere. These stones ground me, and connect me to place. They also remind me that I am one among many, and that nothing is permanent, not even the rock that makes this vast mountain range. |
